Dr. Brooke Catanese-Shedlock grew up in Seward, Pennsylvania and attended Laurel Valley High School. After graduation, she went on to get her Bachelor of Science degree at Penn State. Optometry school was completed at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO), near Philadelphia. Clinical internships were done with The Laurel Eye Clinic in Duncansville, PA, The Dorn Veterans Hospital in Columbia, SC, The Eye Institute at PCO, and Dr. Lobby’s office in Kittanning, PA.
After graduation in 2008, Dr. Catanese-Shedlock moved back to west-central PA to start practicing, house remodeling, and wedding planning. She and Dr. John were married in 2009. Their two girls, Macy and Leona, keep them quite busy. Currently they are awaiting the addition of a third baby girl, due later this year. In their “free” time, they enjoy riding motorcycles, canoeing, and chasing after their daughters.
